UI+ [F.A.Q]
-
Why aren't my Presets, Viper, and CommandHistory positions saved?
Unfortunately, that is a LightWave limitation. You have to manually place the panel or double click on UI+ in the Master Plugins panel to reinstall it.
-
Why is the Command History sometimes missing in the SceneEditor Mode?
You can ClearScene again or add it manually to get it back.
-
Why do I need the Command Editor?
You don't need it most of time. Unfortunately, because the SceneEditor can't resize to the width of the screen, there is a gap.
-
Why does HideToogleWindows act strange?
A: It is incompatible with UI+. Don't use it anymore. A Fullscreen mode will be added to UI+ to replace that function.
-
Sometimes I don't want UI+ to reorganize my panels. Can I remove it?
Sure. But the best thing is to turn off the checkmark off in the MasterPlugins panel.
-
Do I need to redo all menus? Will I lose my settings?
No, you don't. Ui+ will constantly check your layout. But it won't recognize changes to your Menu Layout.
-
I would like to set my personal settings? How to do that?
Actually, you can't. That will be added sometime after a laptop version is released.
-
Can I use it on a second machine?
Yes, as long as you are using the same LightWave dongle on that machine. Remember to copy the UI_License.key to that machine.
-
I have several version of LightWave on my computer. Can I use UI+ on all of them?
Yes. UI+ can detect which version is in use.
-
Why is the SpreadSheet and the New SceneEditor always positioned at the same place and not where I want?
Unfortunately, that is another LightWave limitation.
-
Why Panels are not positionned correctly?
UI+ is actually configured to work with Classical type of windows. So if your using XP, you must set your TitleBar to 18 pixels or choose Classical type.
-
I'm using lw9, why UI+ don't start at startup?
You have to launch it manually or Enabled Master Autoload in your Lightwave preferences.
-
At startup, why the layout is maximized and UI+ is not working..?
You must add UI+ manually in your master plugins.
