UI+ [installation Instructions]

  • 1. Unpack the UI+.rar file.
  • a) There are 3 files included: UI+.lsc, UI_Start+.lsc and UI_License.key
  • 2. Put UI_License.key in your LightWave Programs Directory.
  • 3. Put the LScripts in the directory you want.
  • a Note: it is a good practice to make a separate directory for all your 3rd-part plugins & LScripts. That way you don't have to copy everything when a new version of Lightwave is released.
  • 4. Start Layout
  • 5. Add the scripts
  • a) Using the menu in LW9 (Edit/plugins/Add Plugins)
  • b) Navigate & select the LScripts
  • c) Press Open
  • d) You should see a message "3 plugins have been successfully added."
  • 6. Press Ctrl-Q to bring up the Master Plugins panel
  • 7. Add UI+ and double click on it.
  • 8. Choose your Screen Size (You can install it for 1600x1200 and 1280x1024).
  • 9. If you have a dual screen, you can use Layout on the right or left screen. By default it's on the left.
  • 10. If you are not using the Windows Taskbar and you can use that area by turning on the Maximized check box.
  • 11. Press OK. A dialog box will display saying "Operation successful, Quiting LightWave."
  • 12. The next time you start Layout, UI+ will be active
